My story
I didn’t set out to become a fertility awareness educator. I started charting because I wanted to understand my own body and find an alternative to hormonal contraception.
In 2017, after an unexpected pregnancy while using the Natural Cycles app, I became determined to understand fertility for myself rather than relying on an algorithm to tell me when I was fertile.
I discovered fertility awareness through Taking Charge of Your Fertility, taught myself the basics and began charting my cycles. The more I learned, the more fascinated I became by how much our cycles can tell us.
That eventually led me to Sensiplan®, and in 2022 I left my nursing career to train in Germany as a Sensiplan® instructor.
What started as a personal journey has now become my work: helping women understand their fertility, recognise what their cycles are telling them and feel more confident in their bodies.

Why I do this work
I believe women deserve to understand what is happening in their bodies, from their first period through to menopause, rather than feeling like changes in their cycles, hormones or health are something they simply have to put up with.
Our menstrual cycles can tell us so much about what is happening in our bodies. Learning to recognise and understand those changes can help us make more informed decisions about our fertility, our health and our wellbeing.
My aim is to make women’s health feel less confusing and more accessible, giving women the knowledge and confidence to understand their bodies and advocate for themselves.
